WALT write a timed recount about a time when we did something special with our whanau or family. By Zara Munro When I was five, my fun Grandma and my funny Grandad, my annoying sister and I went to Willowbank. We couldn’t even see the keas but we could hear them. There were baby otters, there were orang-utans, parrots, lots of cool things. We had a lot of fun because the keas sounded nice and the orang-utans were really, really funny. The baby otters were really cute. I hoped they had a great time because I did. Next steps Add greater details to the story to create a clear picture in the mind of the reader.

WALT: use different painting techniques to paint a picture of a Lizard or Geko. We will know we can do this when: ·       we can mix colours ·     use different colours to emphasise specific features/details ·     use different brush stroke techniques to create different effects ·     we can paint a background
